ISO 22301 is the international standard for Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS). It provides a framework for organizations to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain, and continually improve a documented management system to protect against, reduce the likelihood of, and ensure recovery from disruptive incidents. The journey of implanting ISO 22301 version 2019 requirement in CIGL started in quarter 3 of 2023. Apart from enhancing its resilience, improving risk management processes, ensuring a systematic response to crises and increasing trust among stakeholders through this project, the board believes that it will ultimately support the organization’s strategic drives, long-term stability and success.  Mitiget was engaged to handhold the stakeholders across seven subsidiaries to achieve this in record time and it was delivered.

Throughout the project, Mitiget employed its deep industry knowledge and innovative approaches to ensure that CIGL met and exceeded the stringent requirements of the ISO 22301 standard which was eventually evaluated and validated by a renowned international certification body – MSECB. The certification not only validates CIGL’s commitment to maintaining continuity of critical operations during unforeseen disruptions but also demonstrates the organization’s dedication to adhering to globally recognized best practices.
